Had .3" of rain here in Phoenix since last Sept, at my home anyway. Could you back up the clouds about 1200 miles and share, or are you guys gonna hog it all!

We plan to hog it all, but if there is ANY RAIN LEFT IN THE WORLD IT NEEDS TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hehe, seriously.  We had more rain in one day last week than we had in April + May + June of last year....in ONE day...like 10+ inches!  I am thinking of selling off my air rifles to buy a nice Zodiac raft....just in case:)

The rain continues.... basically at the top part of Texas along the Red River it is pretty bad. They are discussing shutting down the Red River bridge that goes from Ok into Tx. along I35. What this will mean is a lot of hassle for anyone involved in driving I35. Hard to explain unless you look at a map but it wont be pretty for the locals. Its just wet....like Dan said we are getting more rain in one day than we have gotten in months, and it just keeps on coming with no end in site. I am guesstimating that prolly about 25% of Gainesville's population has been flooded and has had to relocate. I myself relocated this weekend but not because of flooding. I am very fortunate to not have been affected by the rain too terribly bad. I was at Walmart sunday standing in line and there was a family there with 2 young kids.... they were stocking up on flood supplies. Bottled water, canned goods and sandwhich stuff. The kids were wanting some candy and the mom was telling the 5-6 yr. olds(I am guessing) that they didnt even have the money for the stuff they were getting. I felt so bad all I could do was get my wallet out and hand the lady my last 20 bucks. I didnt even say anything to her I just handed it to her and she looked at me and said thank you. I feel very fortunate that I havent been cursed with this weather yet. I am just hoping for the hot weather to get here to dry Lake Gainesville up.

Good on you John....  We lost our home and all within during Katrina - kinda takes the wind out of your sails for a few days.  Now back in Texas on a HIGH and windy hill.  LOL

Well like I said I have been very fortunate not to have been flooded. I really wish that my financial situation was better so I could help some people. Now that I have been thinking about it... in my life I have been so lucky when it comes to disasters. I have been near them but never really personally affected. When Mt. saint helens blew I was in Yakima Wa. There was a lot of ash hehe so much so that day that it was like the thickest fog ya ever seen. But none of me or mine were really put out. On 9/11 I was living up in Wa. TWP in NJ, listening to the Howard Stern show that morning crossing one of the bridges into Philly... my work told me to not even bother going out to the job site but I went any ways because they shut down the bridges, Later on that day I finally got back to Jersey and I went up the NJ turnpike to see all the mayhem. Well they had the bridge closed going into NY so I knew I wasnt going to make it up there, they had the turnpike closed down about 10-15 miles from the state border. I stopped at a station to help load and unload trucks going up into NY. I felt so helpless then. When Katrina hit I was in Houston Tx. Again a helpless feeling and I did some volunteering helping load up trucks for supplies heading there. And now again with thisN. Texas flooding I am actually in the place but still feeling rather helpless to people who need it.
