Had to have it delivered to my parent's house in PA, since Cabela's won't deliver in NJ.
Got home late, put a few rounds through it (in the dark!) just to start getting a feel for it. I can definitely detect the family resemblance to my breakbarrel Gamo's, although certainly not as twangy as my 440.
As to its being a refurb - well, there is some minor damage to the rear sight, the gun dieselled like MAD for the first half-dozen shots, and the detent spring for the safety was missing. Fortunately, the spring from a defunct B19 trigger assembly fit perfectly.Took me a moment, though, to find out that I had to pop the forearm pads off to get to the front stock screws.
But the cocking is nice'n smooth, and loading port seems to work very smoothly. I finally found out why this mechanism doesn't pose any threat to fingers... I had always thought that the breach closed automatically when you returned the cocking lever to its stowed position. Obviously, it does not!
Hopefully, I'll get out a full review in the next week.
