Decisions ...decisions....
« on: July 02, 2007, 10:36:43 AM »
Being retired ; I usually have to sell something off to help finance a new craving. I'm thinking , If I had maybe an Izzy46 pistol and a used 10 meter match rifle , with my Talons for hunting , and the AirArms S400C for shooting field target matches , I'd be pretty well set and wouldn't "need" a new gun for at least six months to a year (yea right) So today I went through my stable and was trying to find something I  was willing to part with. First I checked out my two Crosman 1377's , did a little changing on them . I put the LW barrel I had on one and set it up with open sights and shot it for a while. It was shooting so good ,I decided to keep this one . Now the other one. I put a 10"  Crosman barrel back on it , added a 4x scope and went out to sight it in and shoot a little. Nope , going to keep this one too. As a matter of fact I ordered some more parts from Crosman to make one of these a .22 cal. and got a matching forearm and grips for both. Next , One  I haven't shot in a couple of months, my Beeman R7 . I could probably get enough out of it to buy a Izzy46 . Less than 500 shots through it and with a Beeman muzzle brake.Yep, like new.  I changed the scope on it ,( I wanted the scope to go on the AA S400C when it gets here ) and went out side to sight-er in . After sight-in at 10 meters I backed up to twenty-five yards and started taking out the ten ring in my target. Nope , this ones going back into the safe too . So that leaves my HW30 and ain't no way I'm selling it or my Talons.. So I guess I'm stuck for now with what I have or have coming. Hehehe. It's not a bad thing , I'll just have to find  a new finanace plan . kirby

If I find something I can't live without, but for now I think it perform well enough to stay in the stable with the rest .hehe . There's an Anschutz 2001 Super Air match air rifle for sale over on Brad's classifieds for $725+shipping. Now if you had one of those to trade I might  throw in both crossmans and maybe the HW30 too. hehe  kirby

I can relate Kirby. I do work, but I'm a single gal and pay all the bills on my own. I don't think I can adopt Dano's strategy, no groceries..............

Haven't shot the R7 for several months? Hmmm, I'll pay for the shipping to my house, I'll keep her safe and well excercised for you, promise!

I think maybe the long rests are what keeps her shooting so good. She'll have another long nap when my AA S400C gets here.  hehe  But thanks for all the offers , it's good to know I have all these friends that would help out a guy in need. hehe .kirby

After shooting the AA S400C today I've decided to sell a few of my prized  Air guns.  I decided to sell a few  and narrow down my collection to include one plinker springer ( HW-30) one PCP for field target hunter (AA S400C) , One 10 meter rifle (undecided but leaning toward PCP AA S400 MPR) and one nice 10 meter pistol (IZH-46M) I'm still undecided about my Talon mini SS.  kirby
