sights, rear
« on: July 08, 2006, 08:49:45 AM »
hi guys, i have the gamo 1k, and the scope mounting groves are not straight on the receiever, so scopes don't work on it. so to the questions i have; 1. is there a scope mount that allows both the windage and elevation to be adjusted. 2. is there an appurature or open sight that will mount in the scope groves? thanks for any info.   john

There's an apeture sight available:

Had you disassembled the rifle - and voided the warranty? Even so, with an obvious machining flaw like that - Gamo might make good on it. Might be worth it to give 'em a call.

Hello...
I would definately check on sending the gun back to Gamo. I would think they would make a factory defect that obvious good. Good luck...

vince, i like the looks of the appature sight, may order one. thanks for the link. i havn't opened the gamo, have had no need to. as far as sending it back, that sounds like a hassle to deal with, that i would rather avoid. i have always liked open sights anyway as scopes are a specialty thing to my way of thinking. thanks again, john

or simular store just take it back and they will replace it free and on the spot. Just a thought.
