To hot for the varment's
« on: July 04, 2007, 12:41:15 PM »
Well I spent most of the day hiding in the brush and waiting for a varment to pass through but no such luck. Today it was about 95deg. and there wasn't nothing moving out of the cool shade of their hideout's. This is not unusual during very hot day's around here, they just wait till evening when it's cooler. I did see the regular bunch of pest, Blackbird's but I wasn't going to waste a .22 Predator on em today. I was waiting for Dinner hehe. Anyway I just spent the day out in the grove behind my place sipping water and injoying the sound of Nature, still a good day. Heres a pic of my view looking out from my hide, this is a good location since the varment's are passing through here on their way to my feeder's.Ed

That's a great looking ambush spot buddy.  Looks like that spot has provided many a lunch in the past :)

Beautiful country Ed,

I have a little spot in NJ I go to to commute with nature, but I'll have to look for another, as the area around it is being developed at an alarming rate ! Hunting is not allowed in any of the areas around me, and the residences are paying to rid themselves of vermin and deer.

I love them non-hunters and tree huggers, they don't know much, and still don't listen. I'm hoping that they will hire hunters to thin the herds. That way I can have fun, and get back some of my tax money.

Anyway Ed, you have God's country in your backyard ! Count your blessings buddy...

I agree Ed. Some of my best days "hunting" I never fired my gun once.

Yes it's been a good year so far as far as the weather go's. We had a six year drought which was hard on the farming and you always got to watch out for them tornado's. Now where did my dog Toto go hehe. Ed
