2240 Takes first squirrel
« on: July 05, 2007, 01:18:52 PM »
Just another day at the Shadow Ranch finishing up supper when I heard the chatter outside. I already knew who was out there and probably at the bird feeder already. So I got up from my plate and went to my gun cabinet to see which one of my fine ladies wanted to dance tonight. The 2240 whispered to me that she was ready for her first small game kill so I grabbed her and chambered a Predator. Out the side door and to the corner of the house, sure enough there he was at 15yrds filling his belly. I flipped on the red dot and put it on his side, right behind his front leg to hit the vital's and let it loose. I heard the impact which slammed him against the side of the feeder and from there he just rolled off with a couple quivers and expired. I walked up and checked out lunch for tommorrow and noticed that the Predator had passed through him and stuck itself in the side of the feeder, I have no problem with overpenatration. Ed
