Just filled the feeder's
« on: July 14, 2007, 07:14:34 AM »
walked  back to the shop to continue a camo job on a stock and spotted this nutter headed for my full feeder. Ok another chance to try out the Destroyer pellet's so I grabbed the tuned QB and chambered a pellet. As I stepped back to the doorway he was already up on the feeder and filling his cheek's. Put the crosshair's on him, he was looking at me and let loose. He did a flip off the feeder, hit the ground and ran for about 10ft and expired. The Destroyer entered at the top of his head, came out his neck and planted itself in his shoulder. Cleaned him and tossed him in the icebox, the QB and Destroyer work very well together I think. Ed

Nice work buddy, you and those destroyers are fast becoming a deadly team  :)

I'll give em a try in new QB-D .177 when it arrives, hope it shoots em as well as yours.  Got an email from Mike (flying Dragon) yesterday,,, said he had finished my .177 QB.  He said he had it shooting 800 FPS but backed it down to around 780  to get more accuracy.  When I read that my mouth was watering !!!  First thing I'll do is give the destroyers a try and see how they shoot.

Anyway, good shootin on the tree rat and great pic.

Thank's guy's and gal:) I sure like her after I refinished the stock and I fabbed a sun shade for the scope and if you remember the custom shroud and brake from Gene's (AirGunToys) well it was polished alumunum, I decided to shoot it flat black with a matte clear coat. Sorry Gene but it does look good. Ed

Hey Shadow, what are you feeding to what? And what kind of feeders do you use? I buy 100 pounds a week of bird seed from WallyWord and use the 4 plastic haning feeders.

I got morning Dove's,Finch's, Cardinal's, big ol wood*_*_*_*_*_*s and all kind's of tweety bird's. In a day I can count up to fifty bird's in my yard and that's at one time. BlackBirds and squirrels are outlaw's on my Rancho Deluxo. The robins are nice, they keep the bug population down. In a week's time I go through 200lb's of deluxe wildbirdfood mix. The corn in the mix draw's the nutter's in, that and my Black walnut tree and the pear tree. right now I have 10 feeder station's, the little lady likes her bird's hehe. Ed

That is a crazy amount of bird feed a week. How much do you put at each station?
