CFX .22 Muzzle Break

Does the muzzle break just pull off after the set screw is backed out?  I know this is a dumb one, but I don't want to wreck the whole thing. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi there...

well almost... after you have loosened the set screw, you have to take out a little pin in order to get the brake off, it´s located under the brake just in front off the grove for holding the cockinglever, use a thick needle or better yet a one mm. splitdriver( thats about 1/32") you can now slide the outer section down towards the action, and then you can wiggle the inner section off...

hope it helps

best regards

I'm going to put a new muzzle break on.  My third oldest son works in a prototype machine tool shop, and will design (I want something a little different) and macine a new break.  Now that I can remove the current one I'll get it over to him.  I'll post it when it's done
