CFX stock??
« on: July 18, 2007, 10:29:10 AM »
Hi there... again...

i was wondering if anybody had som experince with making new stocks for the CFX .177 ? laminated or massive, regular or thumbhole... the reason i´m asking is that i really loat the original stock... and i want something new... but again it´s seems to be a very challenging task, so a little help would be great!! so if anyone have the measurements, any ideas, advice of how an where to start or even a draving i would like to hear from you... i´m hoping to make a laminated thumbhole stock, because i really love the look of it.

By the way... Bob i think i´m in love with you, absolutely love the trigger... i have´nt really had the time to play with the adjustments yet ( i want a bit more clear definition of the two stages and a bit lighter second stage ) but already, without my preffered settings it´s absolutely a blast to shoot with. Got a dove in the second shot with it, the stupid little critter landed on the birdfeeder about 30 yards away from my kitchen window where i was trying it out, beautyfull placed shot, 16X magnification, Gamo TS-10 pellet and full frontal chestshot fell like it was struck by a hammer not even a twitch...

Best regards from Denmark

Mike aka Bullseye makes custom stocks. You might want to send him an email about what you want.. His prices are reasonable and he does some great work.

Gene, unfortunatly I do not have a CFX, so I don't have any measurements. How about sending me 1 of yours, to make a patern out of and I will redress her and send her back. I'm waiting to see if there are going to be any more refurbs at natchez, before I get 1. I am about to start on a few S1K stocks, as soon as I finish another special project. I would be happy to answer any ?'s that you may have on making 1.

be careful when you adjust it as the adjustment span of the second stage is very narrow. Adjust in very tiny increments.
