QB78-D .177 Pics

Well, I still haven't been able to shoot either one of my new Flying Dragon QB78-D rifles due to the weather, but I just finished up installing a scope on the .177 and took a few pics to show her off.  I took quite a few pics trying to get ones that really show how beautiful the stock is but this is the best I could do with available lighting.  The stock on the .22 is just as nice

She's SHARP Jeff, that stock is got some super color to it. My QB-78 had the same color stain but was scratched throughout the stock:( but I got her pretty again with the lighter stain and look. Again very nice buddy. Ed

LOL Ian knowing Jeff he will run the whole gammit of calibers....177, .20, .22, .25, 9mm, do I hear 50 lol. All I know is if I heat my gun up to 90 degrees it is a hard hittin little sweetheart lol pushin pellets out in the 900-1000 fps range with an average FPE of about 15 ft lbs.

Very nice. I  e-mailed  Mike about his conversions this morning. I'm looking at getting one in .22  cal. and had questions about loading pellets under a low mounted scope. I got those fat fingers and tend to drop about as many as I shoot. Let me know how the mounts work on your setup. I may need to look at the extended height mounts.

The big trick for you guys with the "fat" fingers is to roll the pellet into the loading gate, just lay it on the side of the loading port and roll it in. I wish someone would get on the ball and start building a stick type loading mag for the 78's, someting like whats in the IZH-61, simple but it works just fine and would work even better in the QB's. If I was set up with a mill it wouldn't be to hard to make, anybody got one they will let go cheap?

I have a mill and would love to give it a try. Just need to know how it works... I do not have a IZH-61 to see the way it is set up. But maybe I should buy one for that purpose.. You have any ideas?

I stumbled over this site recently. I wouldnt want to stael someone elses ideas but,,,,,,, This isdea could be modded for a QB
It would mean machining of the rifle which we are still trying to avoid.

Ya Ian, that is Ron Sauls who I know. He is a very intelligent man when it comes to ideas for Crosman mods.  He also publishes the "Airgun Hobby" magazine, which I think everyone should subscribe to. His next issue will be out in a month or two.

Well lets see.........cost of a "plane" ticket, instruction lessons, room and board for at least 6 months. Yes I can come out and teach you how to run it. The stick type loader is basicly a stick with holes for the pellets and a mechanism to index the pellets for loading. I can send you my 61 if you want a peek at one..........the repeater set up for the 2240/2250 looks somewhat like the one used on the CR400 without the indexing mechanism that works when the bolt is opened and closed.

LOL Mike, I know how the mill works but I was referencing the tube you spoke about... If I did not know how to run this machinery I would be up s__t creek without a paddle..

Mike I was windering if you ever got around to looking for those parts I emailed ya about... the breech and barrel end? I wanted to jump on the repeater magazine for these QB's and i had some ideas I just need some spare parts to mess with.
