Finding excuses to Chrony
« Reply #15 on: July 22, 2007, 04:49:11 PM »
Heck I'm finding excuses constantly to use my chrony. Dentalfloss behind the breech seal? Chrony. Lube behind the dental floss? Chrony. Lube on top of the floss? Chrony. Lube the oring? Chrony.  1st shot vs 20th shot? Chrony.  Wife needs me ta do sumthin? Chrony, sorry I'm busy.  Hot weather vs cold? Chrony.  New type of pellet? Chrony.  Seems like it's been a while since this rifle has been chronied? Chrony.  Can my hand go faster than a pellet? No, 40fps. Dang I thought for sure that my hand was faster than that? Chrony.
I was up all night one night, I think I went to bed at 5am!
Just the fact that I have a chrony is fantastic. Home is the only place that I don't have to justify to a boss why I need this "techie gadget".

Yep, it doesn't really make you shoot any better, just keeps you in touch with your guns. I couldn't believe it when I found out that they were only a hundred bucks at D&R Sports. I snatched one up faster than a humminbird in a forestfire!!!  I figured they were hundreds of dollars when I first got into airguns. I was fascinated by folks reporting their numbers and thinking to myself how lucky they are to have such an expensive thing.  Imagine my dismay when the flight angle dipped a little too low and left a dent in the second sensor housing of my new chrony!  Did that impact affect the chrony? Chrony.  On and on and on....

Here is the best way to be sure you are almost perfect every single time you crony. It's fixed and level and the front cradle (support) can be made to be adjustable to fit just about any gun if you like.

That is a sweet setup!!! And I have all those parts. In fact, that's similar to what I whipped together yesterday only it don't look as nice as yours.  Hmmmm....I guess great minds think alike!!!  Can't do it in my driveway though. The cops would be showin' up fer sure. Got some pretty conservative neighbors on my street. But they let my shoot in my backyard at least.

Dave, sounds like just one more opportunity to "chrony" :~D LOL!!

Really enjoyed your "Give me a reason to chrony" post. Gave me a good laugh just before heading home from work!
