GSE At The GTA
« on: July 25, 2007, 09:18:20 AM »
Georgia shooting events at he GTA. As you guys know Jon and I got together and shot last weekend at the Airgunning Atlanta  range in Covington . We had the range to ourselves and had a great time trying out Jon's new MPR-F/T , and shooting an informal 48 target field target match . Jon put a whupping on me with a score of 35  to my 26 . I'll start posting our get togethers here so if any one cares to join us , you'll know about it . kirby

Looks like I'm going to have to build a little fire over here in this section . With small game season only three weeks away , I'll be posting some GSE hunting and shooting events so if anybody would like to join us you'll know about them. Our next field target match at Airgunning Atlanta will be on Sunday August 12th . We shoot a 20 target  hunter match starting around 9 am , with a 40 target field match following . Afterwards most shooters meet at the golf country club restaurant for lunch . Shooting fees are $10 total with the fee waved for your first visit ( that means  you shoot FREE) The lunch is on you , what ever you eat , you pay. hehe. Any thing comes up I'll let you know. I guess I've appointed myself as the Georgia rep. unless someone else wants it or objects.  come see us. kirby

Gene , yes it is a one day event .  the range is an hour east of my house out I-20 east toward SC , so since it took me 4 hours to get to the SC shootout , it should work out to be  about a  3 hour trip. Since this club is a already established "gathering"  and the guys there are a bunch of great guys , I'm throwing my support their way in hopes of building the airgun community.  kirby

Jon and I have gotten permission to shoot on the Airgunning Atlanta  Covington range again this  Sunday. We should be there by 9 am . Hopefully Scott and his son will join us along with some of the regulars . I'll take a few pictures and will report. kirby

I think any day is a great day, when you get to spend it with a friend that enjoys shooting as much as you do. And that's just what happened today . Here's a link to Jon's write up and some pictures. I hope you enjoy. Just remember guys you have to have a crowd to enjoy yourself . Invite a friend to go shooting with you.  kirby  http://rimfireshooting.com/index.php?showforum=4

Great pics David! I finally got to do a little shooting today after a month away from it . Didn't shoot the best as I was shooting a different gun than usual, but I had a lot of fun. If the thunderstorms stay away for a few days, I'll have to set up the FT's in the backyard and start practicing myself.
