New Bull Barrel for my S1K .20 L/W Rifled Choked Barrel
« on: July 28, 2007, 11:43:48 PM »

Here is another bull barrel for one of my favorite shooters. This S1K .20 is deadly accurate at 40yards. I have just dressed it up with a Niko Sterling 4-12X40 AO Air Gun Scope. Not as clear as Simmons Air Pro or Master series but is a nice scope and I can see clearly through it at my 40yard shooting distance. The bull barrel is constructed in four pieces machined all together for precise tolerances. You can notice that there are brass tips, front and rear which match up great with CDT's GTR-III trigger. This particular S1K has had a major Turbo Tune by CDT with some extra touches..:) From the time I took it off his bench till now, it shoots fantastic with little recoil and a very smooth cocking cycle.

Very nice buddy, it really set's off the whole gun and for some reason black and brass alway's look good together. Fine work Gene now if I can figure out how to add something like that to a existing bull barrel like the one on the ShadowSport, gears turning hehe. Ed

Very nice Gene. If I remember right that 1 had a short barrel, it looks like you added an inch or 2 to the shroud. I had thought about getting a .20 barrel, but the lack of pellet choices localy turned me off. I have since found a place local that has a decent selection, so I may get 1 and see what happens. Do you want to sell the extra .20 barrel you have layin around?

No it was the .177 L/W barrel that was short. This one is an inch shorter than a regular Gamo S1K barrel. The shroud is just 3/4" from end of barrel crown. I am thinking of using my other .20 barrel on one of my other air rifles so no I am not gonna let it go at this time..:)
