CFXs Get magic triggers
« on: August 02, 2007, 03:23:51 PM »
Well, I waited far too long to put CDT's GRT triggers on my CFXs. Bob and I talked about it on Sunday. Viola, there was a small envelope from SC in my mail box today. The service Bob delivers is commendable.

I installed the trigger on both guns in very little time. Installation was very simple and the triggers fit perfectly.I can't stress enough how easy it is to install. If you can wield a screw driver, you can install this trigger. The E-mailed, illustrated installation instructions are very easy to follow.

I am at a loss for words on what an improvement this trigger is for any gun with a Theoben-Gamo trigger. Precise machine work, very well designed blade shape, precise vertical serrations on the blade. This trigger transforms the trigger group into one that should be on a proper rifle.

The trigger has a short, light first stage, and crisp, repeatable let off on the second stage. I sighted my rifles back in with the GRT trigger adjusted as it was delivered. I have no desire to change the adjustment. It is very good for target work, and as light as I would want for a rifle I would hunt with.

This is, by far, the best $32.00 you could spend on an air rifle.

I know my short review is not news for everyone that already has this trigger, but I had to add my endorsement to the very long list already out there.

Couldn't agree more. Bob's got a fantastic trigger, that is simple to install and the end result is better than you could hope for.

Well...now that I'm back from Oshkosh, maybe I'll have some time to put my trigger on my .22 CFX!

For me, the only problem was that it WAS such a simple installation. I kept going over the instructions thinking "Wait, I must be leaving something out- it can't be this easy". So it probably took me about twice as long as everyone else (10 minutes instead of 5 ;~) to finish up. But the next one will only take me 7 1/2 minutes to finish (I'll probably forget how easy it was the first time and then remember about halfway through it). LOL!

I've got 2 of the older design that i bought when I got my CFX but have yet to install either of them(one is for my CFX and the other is for my Black shadow supreme in 22). I'll get them in one of these days :-)
