One thing for sure Gene, when I can shoot groups like the one's you posted after the tune on the Whisper, I might consider buying another air rifle!!! Do you have any posts detailing your techniques-hold, etc.?

The road up Pike's Peak is paved up to eight mile, then it is dirt with no guard rails to the summit. It is indeed fairly scenic.

I thought they may have paved it by now, or at least put up some gaurd rails. The little mound of dirt they had wouldn't do a bit of good.

Drive really fast, get sideways in the corners and all you will be concentrating on is the road, not the drop off, LOL.
Actually, paving the road all the way up has been a source of deabte for years. On one hand if it gets paved, there goes the dirt road attraction of the annual "Race to the Clouds" hill climb. On the other hand, it would be safer for the tourists and better for the environment in preventing errosion.

LOL Armond... When I was a young man and served in the military, I was an expert shooter specialists.. But I have not touched anything since then that shoots projectiles. It has been over 30 years now. Woops, I mean 40 years...:).I retired two years ago and moved here to S.C. where I met CDT and air guns...:) But I am not realy that good anymore. I love the challenge of the springers and love to shoot them. My eyes are getting bad now and on some days cannot hold a steady beed on the target. My technique is not that much different with most springers. I held and shot the Whisper just like I would hold and shoot any of my S1K's.. nothing sprecial and you can read many reviews on hold technique's but what it boils down to is trying different types of holds and when you find the pellets are hitting what you are aiming at then stick with that on that particular springer. The two real great shooters on the GTA and hunters are Ed AKA Shadow and Jeff AKA Longislandhunter. They are naturals and can hit anything they aim for. No magic for me just allot of shooting..:) Gene
THE ONES I SLEEP WITH: BSA Lightning XL, AA TX-200, AA ProSport, BSA Ultra, HW-97K, Crosman NPSS .177, FX Cyclone, HW-30 Nicle Plated, AA-S200, Crosman Marauder, CZ-634, R-9 DG, Webley/Scott UK Tomahawk, Benji Kantana, Benji Marauder, Benji Discovery.....

Haa haa, that's funny.... I planted worm cocoons just a few weeks ago. I need worm food so I started mulching my grass instead of bagging it.

What does an "I was an expert shooter specialist" mean?

I was in the Marines and I shot Expert in rifle and 1911.

Sorry, never heard of that, what was your MOS?
