« on: August 03, 2007, 05:03:50 AM »
Reconditioned TF99 Magnum in both .177 & .22 for $119.95 from Compasseco.

Is it worth it?

Thanks.

They say if it says Tech Force you paid to much. I don't know that it would be so in this case. Are you wanting it in .22 if not look at the close out Gamo 440 in .177 @ natchez for 119.00 or cabelas had refurbed 440's with scopes for 124.99. Good luck.

I just noticed they sell new TF99 for $135. for $15 you cen get a new one...

Yes, my finger was cruising around order button on Gamo 440 many, many times, it's a struggle to keep it off.

Anyway, I'm looking for .22 wood stock for under $150.

Considering b-26-1

Thanks again

In the UK we get this gun as the XS36-1 Carbine and the XS36-2.I`ve just got the XS36-2 and straight from the box it hits harder than the XS78 I bought along with it.It`s BIG though not suitable for anyone who`s not that well built

I just ordered a BAM B26 and the Fast Deer KL-3B for $140 and $30 respectively with free shipping from: http://bestairgun.stores.yahoo.net/rifles.html which was the best price I could find!
They are on their way!
Will let you know how well it turns out.

You can't go wrong with the B-26 it's as close to a Beeman R-9 as you get without shelling out 400.00 bones. Good luck.

I've never had good luck with Shanghai products (which is what the TF99 is).

I got my B26 from sportsmanstarget.com, and they were great to deal with. I screwed up the payment method (through paypal) and wound up paying them 3 times! They refunded the other 2 payments so fast it made my head spin. They also shipped the gun out very quickly - and they shipped it to NJ, no questions asked!

South Summit has the QB36-2 for $75. And I doubt that the TF99 is any better.

I'm sold on B-26! Waiting for some funds for rifle and scope.

Anyone wants to get rid of theirs in .22?

I'd second the B-26... I have a TF99. Actully I've sent it in about 3 times for a replacment. It's a piece of JUNK. It's heavy, gritty, the barrels are all bent, the triggers take 2 men and a small boy to operate, extremely harsh recoil, and finally.... The Velocity claims are nowhere NEAR whats advretised. They say 1000 FPS in .177. In the 3 different ones that I've had they shot in the range of 650-790 FPS WHILE DIESELING. After MANY hours of tuning and fiddling with my last one, I was able to get it into the mid 800's consistently. But the accuracy is still to be desired. 4 inch groups at 20 yards is unaccaptable.

Mines a keeper and you won't be disappointed with one either, providing it doesn't have any flaws.
In which case you would just need to exchange it.
In .22 they are hell on steel food cans and pests alike.
Let us know what you decide!

Still going back and forth between b-26-1, refurb RWS 34 or something from the classifieds. Definately not TechForce though.

I don't own a 34, although I know they are real sweet,,,, however   that being said,,, I'm not real big on refurbs,,,,, I know some people get good refurbs and are happy but I guess I  just have rotten luck with refurbs,,,,, so I'd go with a new B26.........BestAirgun has free shipping till the end of the month.

I have 2 B26-2's , one in each caliber and I have to say they are simply outstanding.....
