Got me a Hunting gun coming... repushed the button
« on: August 07, 2007, 02:45:17 PM »
I returned my MPR last week , to my dealer and I talked to him tonight about it's replacement . I decided since I like my AAs400c in .177 so much for match shooting ; I chose an Air Arms S410H classic in .22 cal . for a replacement  to use for hunting . For those of you not familiar with Air arms (and who is, not me) this is a multi-shot bolt action model . This one ,unlike the 12fpe .177  carbine is an adjustable power model , that comes factory shrouded so it should be a quiet one. From what I've read , I should get about 80 shots at up to 20 fpe per fill.  I wanted  a Walnut stock , but it didn't work out for me this time , it will be beech like the carbine.  I should see speeds in the low 800's with a 14g pellet. It is scheduled to ship next Monday and will take 4-5 days to get  to it's new  home. More to come.kirby

I have heard really good things about the AA410.  Powerful and quiet.  How is the 410H different from a 410ERB?  80 shots is enviable.  I think I get around 35-40 shots per fill with Exacts (approx. 910 fps), but I am not sure about the exact count or speed - to busy shooting it to care, lol.
Let us know what you think when it comes.

I just goy my S400 EXTRA FAC .22 last week and it looks just like that one - BEAUTIFUL- and it shoots awesome. Mine has adjustable power and is shooting JSB's at 950 fps on high and 365 on low. I've only been able to shoot it at 35 yrds and it is a one holer at that distance. I topped it with a Simmons 44MAG 6.5x20. Squirrel season starts next Wed and I can't wait.
Guns I\'ve owned--Winchester 800x .177, Winchester 422 .177 ,  R9 Goldfinger .22, (2)-Gamo Black Shadow .22, (2) Shadow 1000, (2)- Discovery .22, Sumatra 2500 carbine .22, .25 and rifle .22, Bam B51 .22, AirArms S400 xfac .22, S410 .22 older bolt, S400 fac carbine walnut .22, S410 xfac .22 side lever..Marauder .22, Bam B30-1 .22, Bam B26-2 .22 and .177, Talon SS .22 and who knows whats next
