longislandhunter:
You can get a swivel stud kit made by Michaels of Oregon that will work. They have kits that include a barrel band stud that clamps on the barrel and is secure when installed per instruction (degreasing the parts and barrel, installing with blue Lock Tite).
I am personally fond of the nylon "mountain sling" that the same company makes.
I believe you can buy from them direct, though you'll pay full MSRP for the privilage.
If you have a Shadow, the rear stud is already installed. If you have a 220/440/890 with wood stock, you install a stud that is like a wood screw.
It is easy to do. It's just drilling a hole and attaching stuff.
A "trail tip" if you do this installation of a stud kit on a wood stock rifle is to apply masking tape over the spot where you drill into the butt for the rearward stud. This will prevent chipping of the wood at the surface when the hole is drilled -usually, anyhow, as in almost always.
With the stud kit installed, you can use any kind of rifle sling you like.
If you want to see a picture of what I am talking about, go to my website at

You can get the front band stud if that's all you need either from Beeman or a full stocking Beeman Dealer. Beeman sells them in two sizes and you need the one for the 15mm OD barrel.
