The rifle has come together nicely now and is a real pleasure to shoot.  The only modification from out of the box is a GRT-III trigger that arrived before the rifle.  I took a few shots with it before replacing the trigger and would never go back to the original its a night/day comparison.  Using the stock sights I could group under an inch at 10 yards offhand.  Thats about it for my eyesight though so I knew it was a good shooter.  My brother stopped by  and had no trouble keeping it in a dime at 20yards even with the stock sights inability to stay in position.  I noticed on the Crosman forum they where going to do a scope giveaway to get feedback on their Center point range of scopes.  Although I was able to win one as they where grabbed in seconds there wasn't much left so I selected a 3-9x50. It arrived yesterday and is very well finished, from what I understand they use the same factory as Leapers and I can see a lot of family similarity with my bug busters.  I used a high profile Accushot single piece mount as it had enough clearance for the 50mm front bell.  Right away I saw the barrel was low far beyond any scope adjustment.  I shimmed it by .03" in the rear and it was back in the center of adjustment.  After that from a bench using chinese Peak pellets at my yard limit of 20 yards I managed to put 5 pellets in a slight clover leaf, I had only managed that with my QB78d so I'm a real happy camper now.  Next was five shots five dead paint balls woo hoo.  I can't wait till I get a chance to go to my buddies to try it at 50 yards.

With the Natchez special at $119, Charlies trigger at $32, the Accushot mount at $20 *and* a free Crosman scope I'm still under $200 and the original list price for a very nice rifle.  NONE of this would have been possible without the GTA forums and the folk who place/share so much info here.

Thanks again guys
Mark

I like my new Hunter 440 (from Natchez) as well... I can hardly wait for my new scope so I can shoot it some more.
