Thank's buddy and that's the effect that I was trying for and it's a Ancient Chinese secret hehe. some time involved but a cheaper version for the fella's who can't dish out the $$ for the real one's or not into woodworking. Ed

Oh and I'm thinking that when their fully cured the inclosed area of the grip and pump handle will be painted flat black to give some contrast between the two.Ed

Looks like realwood Ed, you did good. Are you talking about painting the stippled area black, or just the outline of the stippleing?

A real fine line to outline it might look good. The whole area may be too much.

Ed, that is absolutely amazing !!  Gotta hand it to ya, great job.   I finished doing  a camo job on my 1377 this afternoon,,,, just waiting for the paint to dry  and will hit it with a couple of coats of clear tomorrow,, then I'll post some pics.  

Again, absolutely amazing job on those grips :)
