My last post on the YF was a compliment to Jim Edmondson (login: troutmd) on his posting of a "10 M Pistol Primer" & a suggestion (to all) to look at a publication from the U.S.Army titled "Basic Pistol Marksmanship Guide". When I went to check for replies just now I got  "The owner of this forum has blocked access to your network address". I don't mind pi$$ing people off but that post just ain't gonna' do it.
I fired off a terse e-mail to Stevie, we'll see huh. Truth be known, it'll probably keep me outta trouble. 8)

is the reason you may have gotten band. I would think they would invite intellectual individuals to post there regardless, what other forums they may belong to. Oh Well!

I just got back to the computer a few minutes ago & had an e-mail from Steve(CT). As far as I can tell your right, it's because of my involvement with the GTA. As much of a cranky old fart as I am you can imagine how well that went. 8)

EDIT: Well Stevie or one of his lackeys (I had to look that one up :) ) was over here & read this post. Stevie was real unhappy with me, he called me just about everything exept late for dinner, using some really colorful language, but he did unblock me "to proove to you that you *_*_*_*_*_*es can NOT stay away from the yellow" Pardon the grammer & spelling, his, not mine. Well I got to go sit in the corner & think about what a bad boy i've been. :0

It's a real shame isn't it. It's like another country with a dictator like Stalin at the head of the government. How many people did he kill or eliminate because of fear, paranoia, and  egomania. I don't personally understand why people would want the association. I know that I sure don't and wouldn't go back if there were absolutly no where else to go.

Gene:
Check out the edit on #1919 above.
Had Steve acted like an adult, I would have been happy to explain to him that I don't know any of the 'involved parties' in this drama & would pretty much give everybody the same benifit of the doubt. As it turns out, I have watched (& experianced) Steve CT's sophomoric temper tantrums, even his outbursts that were erased quickly, and been subjected to Steve in NC's cross forum whining, pretty much proving that he has no legal leg to stand on. My involvment on the yellow forum has provided me with tuners (one of whom attempted to get me to send him a gun) that keep work for YEARS, thats not bad business, it's criminal, & they defend them. My involvement on the yellow forum has convinced me to use dealers who are, for lack of a better term, wanting. On the other hand CDT has steered me toward a tuner (P. Watts) who was fast, very very good and friendly. I've got an e-mail from SteveCT waiting, I'd better go.
(Do you know how hard it is not to say something really nasty. :D)

I suggest just shooting your gun(s).

You'd be surprised how little anything anyone else says matters when it's just you, the target and the gun.

In fact, my airgunning exoerience had a dramatic swing cycle to it.

At first I was very excited and researched it heavily, signing up on various forums and finally purchasing my gear.

Then the more I read, the more I saw people who were just not the kind of people I would care to share a moment of my time with. And it was souring me considerably on the entire airgunning hobby.

Then I ignored the boards, ignored the negativity, and just went shooting.

I suggest you try the same thing.

Yep. It seems to be the same for most discussion groups, no matter what the subject. I've seen this same discussion over and over again on airgun groups, slot car croups, muzzleloader groups, modeling groups, movie groups, etc etc etc.
I usuualy try to simply post when I have something to add, gleen what I find useful, and go about my hobby otherwise.

Good morning, I'm gonna' try to take care of all this in one post. :)
Gene: When I fired up the confuser this morning I had one more e-mail from our buddy, I think it will be the last. I didn't read the whole thing, when I got to the name calling & filthy language I just deleated it (figured it wasn't going uphill from there). So I don't really know what was said.
Youkilis: I agree completely, belive it or not I shot not one but three of my airguns yesterday, poorly, but that's normal. The ongoing drama that I found myself unwillingly a part of was 'put in perspective' despite what it may have looked like.
Jack: As I am reasonably new to discussion groups or message boards or whatever I'm happy & relieved to hear that I was not involved in an 'unusual' situation, although it's kinda' depressing to think this kind of thing goes on all over the place. I was sorta hoping it was confined to 'big kids with BB guns. 8)
Thanks again guys,
Mike

Well Mike, take it all with a grain of salt.. We are happy that you are here. That kind of thing will never happen in our forum because Charlie or I will not put up with it. We are seasioned old farts like many of our members and we have grown up and past that state a long time ago.

Happy Shootin
