I GOT IT FINALLY

After waiting a week , the brown truck driver made me wait until almost 7:30 pm tonight to bring me my new Air Arms S410H Classic in .22 cal. . I barely had time to install a scope and go outside to put 30 shots though it before dark started setting in. It's a beech model 10 shot bolt action PCP. The barrel is shrouded and at the factory power setting was pretty quiet.  here's  a bad picture , I'll take some more tomorrow. This is to be my squirrel killing machine. hehehe  kirby

Jealousy is sweeping over me, I feel that will have to be my next airgun purchase.  How quiet is it as compared to say an SS?  Just wondering if I can shoot one in my backyard.  The only one I've ever shot was super ultra double shrouded, or whatever that is that makes it really "ssshhhh".  I need a gun that is "one" with the neighbors.....hehe!

When I got it , it was set on level two of five and I will say it's as quiet as the SS . It has a mechanical sound to it that was louder to me than the report. I'll know more about it after tomorrow. I plan on about four hours of shooting with a lot of that over a chrony . kirby

I just got mine today too, at full power you will not be "one" with the neighbors, it's pretty loud on high it's got alot of bark, and power too.  Half power is not bad alot of the noise comes from the gun itself not the actual report, its like "TINGGG".  Low power is pretty darn quiet, you'd probably get alot of shots too for plinking.

It's hard to compare it to a talon, they are very different noises, I'd say they are about equal but in a different way.

The darkside is the only way my friends, it's useless to resist!  All it's takes is to shoot one PCP and you'll be selling off your springers as fast as you can type the post to sell them!

Yea, I had something like 14 guns around New Years of this year...mostly springers, a few CO2's and now...TalonSS, B50 and a BSA Superstar....with a gas ram:)  Some other junk rustling around out in my garage, I think it's a full box of CO2 capsules from last February!

The DARK SIDE always wins out....(insert voice of Darth Vader here).  Okay, enough drama.  Great looking rifle, David, those AA's are sweet.  Maybe some day, too rich for my blood at the moment.  I'm in kind of the same boat as Dano, a few months ago I had 5 springers, now all I have is the Talon and my .22 CFX.  I'd probably sell the CFX, but I want to wait and see what happens with Gamo and .22 rifles.  I sure don't shoot it, though, springers now seem like too much work and not enough power.  Later.
