High priced airguns

I bought a "new" HW97 a couple of weeks ago.  I gotta say that the rifle shoots well, but the safety didnt work on it so I've sent it back for repairs.  In terms of shooting  my B20 is as smooth as a gun that costs 5 times more although not as accurate.  You can spend alot of money and still be disappointed.

most things or hobbies have diminshing returns as you pay more.

You can go catch fish in a $50 canoe and a $20 zebco rod and reel combo.

Or you can go spend $50k for more for and do it with all the bells and whistles.

Is one more enjoyable than the other? maybe...maybe not 10 or 100 or 1000 times more enjoyable though.
