Just got my first QB 78
« on: August 24, 2007, 02:37:08 PM »
Seems to be a nice solid gun. I had it all apart today to check it out and to do a few mods. So far I have only one issue with this gun. The set screw that holds the barrel and the one that keeps the bolt handle tight seem to be a bastard size. Neither metric or standard. Any one else had this problem?

I like them as well. I like them so much I bought one converted to PCP. I like the weight and the feel of the gun. :)

Nope, no key came with this gun. I have several sets in both metric and standard but none fit.

Not finished testing my modded valve yet.

It's a standard M5 metric Allen screw so a 3mm Allen key should fit. When I have one where I can't get a key to fit I gently grind down three sides of a slightly larger Allen key until it fits.

The +/- tolerance and heat treating consistency leaves allot to be desired.  We could end up with a Chinese Whitworth set of allen keys in the end ;-).

Cheers
