Gunrack (almost done)
« on: August 26, 2007, 01:17:10 AM »
Well do to my expanding collection I went to work on a new gunrack. I had a metal frame laying around and after scratching my head, cutting some wood and alittle stain I came up with this. There is a shelf for the pellet's and I added some soft rubber in the notch's that cradle the barrel's, don't want to scratch my girl's hehe. It's still a project in process, maby another lower rack for pistola's etc. I'm sure if I look around my shop and scratch my head again something will come to mind.:) Ed

Nice looking gun rack Ed, but how did you talk the wife out of her plant shelf, hehe. If the spot your going to put it is not too tight, perhaps a couple of shelves, on 1 or both sides, for pellets and pistols. That way you would not have to remove any rifles to get at pellets or a pistol.

Great job Ed.... Now the wife will never know those are guns in her planter stand. You can put some ivy growing up the sides and around the top to camo the air guns even more...:)

I really do like my carousel that I made and it holds eight rifles. I've been meaning to make a couple more but never got around to it. Now that I'm down to bout 14-15 rifles I guess I only need one more. I've thought about making one for my pistols also and se it on my file credenza next to my desk here in the office.

Thank's guy's, it was a old display rack from work, they threw it out and me being the PACKRAT! hehe knew it would be used for something. As Mike was suggesting , I think I'll make some pistola rack's on the side's. I will be adding some small lighting on the top to shine down on the ladies too. Bob I love your carousel gunrack mmm another idea hehe.........is that a SQUIRREL I see in the middle of your rack, I'll get my gun and take care of that critter for you lol. Ed

Yep...that's a squirrel alright. It's what I train my guns with so they know what to look for. I keep it real close to them so they don't forget.
