Lucky *&%#$!@ tree rat!
« on: August 29, 2007, 12:32:09 AM »
Last night as I was trying to put together some decent groups with my 440 and some RWS Super H .177's, this little fellow had the audacity to make an appearance right next to my target. Since I was not sure I could hit him with the "wandering" Super H's (note the group on the target) and my trusty S1K was put away in the house, the best I could do was snap a quick pic of the little nut muncher and share it with all of you who have been in this situation before.

I think he knew I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with those Super H's and was taunting me.... Next time I will be certain to have the S1K with me!

It's about time someone else experienced squirrels as dumb as the ones around here.

I've had no less than 3 kills the same way as this picture shows.  Unfortunately for my squirrels I was using said gun's favorite ammo at the time and shooting nickle sized groups.

Great pic!

I would have caved into temptation and hoped the rifle was on for that one shot, (you are more disciplined than I am).

Yup! He returned with one of his buddies last night. I was ready this time. They are both enjoying a long dirt nap.
