Another harvest at lunch
« on: August 29, 2007, 05:51:59 AM »
Did my usual thing, pulled into the drive for lunch and scanned the backyard and field for varment's. As I looked out into the field I spotted the fella sitting on my forty yard target post just hanging out. I slipped out of the truck and hurried into the house to grab one of the girl's. Jeff's pic of his hunt with his B26-2 made my choice, grabbed my .177 and a Predator and went back to my laundry room. Opened up the window, loaded a Predator and aquired the target. I target shoot from my rest outside so I added five yard's and sent the Predator away. I didn't hear the impact but by his reaction the pellet found it's mark, he dropped instantly into the tall wheat. I loaded another and headed out, jumped the fence and found him at the bottom of my target post. Just alittle to the rear of the sweetspot but close enough. fortyfour yard's from my window seal to the target post, cleaned and in the icebox. Ed

I can hardly wait until my 440 is shooting groups good enough to hit something in the melon at 44 yards....

Nice shooting!
