Any trap shooters in here?
« on: August 31, 2007, 05:12:44 AM »
Ive been shooting trap on my dad's work league for about 5 years now. Always had respectable  numbers (average 40's )
After i got my new set of glasses I had to shoot a makeup and the round for that nite. First round wasnt that great while I got used to actually being able to see 14/19 << i was actually pretty mad with the 14 I havent shot that bad sence I started...
But the next round for that nite was a shocker!! i had figured out to give myself about 1/4 more of a second and then let her fly. Well i shot a 25/24 :) Thats my second 25 in like umm 5 years so I was pretty excited !!

Well just thought id share and see who else shoots..

Nice shooting, Jason. I haven't shot trap in several years, but I do get out occasionally to shoot sporting clays. Lots of fun. I use my old Richland Arms Model 200 double barrel. What is your shotgun of choice?

Hey I just shot a round of sporting clays this past Sunday and loved it. I have not shot clays in over 20 years and back then it was with the old Remington hand throwers my buddies and I would bring into the tiny field we could shoot in.
Anyway, a friend of mine had been asking me to shoot with him at this range. It turns out that this range is on a National circuit in Sporting Clay Shooting. What a great course. It is almost like being on a golf-course but you are using a shot-gun, and it only cost me $20 for almost 2 hours of shooting pleasure!

I must admit that after the shoot, my friend and his wife,(she shot at the range too) shot our air rifles after lunch until 3:00pm, cuz the Sporting Clay Shoot wasn't enough!
