should I be worried about pics
« on: September 04, 2007, 03:58:22 AM »
Folks,
Should I/anyone be worried about posting pictures here that could be used as any kind of an evidence.  I'm being a bit paranoid, but who knows what people could do.
Many of us have the same user info across many forums.  It's not that difficult to trace the person who posted something here and cause trouble.

Any thoughts?

What kinda pictures? Use common sence when posting is about the only advice we can give. Plus we have moderators that if they notice something perticuallary offensive or something illegal they will mention it or just simply remove the post.

If you're talking about pictures of "muzzle brakes" they're just muzzle brakes or shrouds until you start   telling everybody how quiet they make your airgun after "you" installed it. Or if it's game you've killed illegally , then you should think about that before you pull the trigger. With that said if you're doing something seriously illegal or that endangers someone else I would definitely worry about evidence you posted on any website .I'd even turn you in. However if it's just a pesty squirrel that you happen to nail before he chewed your house up again , I wouldn't worry much. Common sense come into play . kirby

Hey RJS,

Read the "WARNINGS" on the Hunting Forum, and the GTA Policies, will give you all the advice you will need.

As others have pointed out, if you know it's illegal, don't post it, or better yet, don't do it !

You are your best friend in life, if you feel that posting something could come back to haunt you, DON'T DO IT, or DON'T POST IT ON THE INTERNET !

Check yourFederal, State, and locallaws if you have a question..

We have setup hunting information, state law's etc to make it easer to check this out. Alway's check your local hunting reg's and in my state a small game, varment licence is required to hunt. As our fellow member's said, if the varment is destroying property etc. it should be delt with. Alway's check on protected bird's etc. also. Any question's feel free to ask, we want to preserve and protect the Forum and it's member's. Ed

If it is lawfully taken game, I don't see a problem.
