That's a big improvement, for just a little hinge work, gettin her fixed up real nice. If you haven't already lapped the mount, turn it around and check it, it may be closer and won't have as far to go.

This is my first post here, nice site you've got. Good luck on your project. The G1 seems to be a good one. I got one of the G1-Extreme's just last week also, and after cleaning the barrel out with some JB bore cleaner, found it to be quite smooth and accurate. You are right about the trigger. Mine has a  very long creepy first stage then it fires with the heavy remaining trigger pull.  Mine is capable of dime sized groups with Gamo match wad cutters at 10 meters indoors, and 3/4" to 1" groups with Gamo hunters at 25 yards. All five and ten shot groups off the bench. Crosman CPL HP's were OK also, similar to the Gamo hunters. There are about 300 pellets through it now. I originally bought this gun because I wanted the scope and mount to try on my RWS 320. The scope alone sells for $69.00  at the Walmart where I bought this gun for $129.00.  They were out of scopes, so I got tempted and ended up with another gun . I have to add that this G1 is better and tighter than the Quest 1000x I bought last summer, and have about 4000 shots through. That one like's Kodiak Match pellets best.

Fix, did you replace the plastic washers at the hinge, or change out the pin with a better design? I plan to get the GRT trigger for mine as well. My quest trigger is tolerable now, but it took a lot of pellets to get it there. I actually think that the B-18 platform in these Crosmans make for a smoother to shoot gun than the B-20. As mentioned, I have the RWS 320, and it's faster, and locks up better, but it's buzzy. It's getting a JM tune kit put in when I get the time, the kit got here only yesterday.

I had the chance to get one of these at the flea market this very morning (it must seem to you all like there's a lot of airguns at this flea market, but it's actually pretty rare; I just talk about them when I encounter them ;~). It looked like in great condition with the scope, but the guy wanted $125. I tried to talk him down, but he wouldn't go less than $110. Since they're $125 all day at our WalMart, I wasn't too eager. Then when he mentioned that if you cock it and don't load a pellet in it, "she sounds as loud as a 30.06! But she's quieter if you do load a pellet in it", I walked away without regret. Never know how often it's been dry-fired. But it was a neat looking and comfortable feeling airgun. One of these days, I may have to take a trip to WalMart--  LOL.
