I put in a lighter valve spring and drilled the bolt probe port hole to 1/8". With the 9" barrel it shoots very close to 500 with 17 gr H&N Silver Points.

I think this is the most interesting air pistol I've seen in a long time, possibly ever. I'd love to see it converted to PCP.
I, for one, think you should post a build up of one. I think it would make a great project.
Congratulations on another excellent build. I like the way you think. Between this and your .30 caliber QB, I think you could start a QB78 cottage industry.

Yes he does. I especially like his .30 cal QB78. It's a great concept, and that stock is sweet.
