Mass airgunners

Anyone here from Southeastern Mass? I wouldn't mind hooking up with some fellow air gunners for some air gun hunting or target shooting. None of my "pals" are into that kind of thing around here.

I'm in Western MA. If you're into coming up for the Nationals Field Target In CT I'd be into meeting up.  They're in October.

The MA state field Target championsips are in Aug. on the 13th.  I may go to that too.

Yes, I shoot in Westfield as well...
I'm the website designer for the westfield sportsman's club as well.
http://westfieldsportsman.com/

Even if you don't have a gun, it's still fun to show up & shoot the breeze so to speak...
The folks who shoot there are really great & will give you all kinds of advice :)

If you need a gun to practice with, let me know, I'll ask fellow members...
Granted I live in Tennessee, but travel back to Mass every month to Westfield area.

If you really want to have fun, show up for our open house in October when we have our Annual Machine Gun Shoot..
I promise, you won't be dissapointed, you'll have fun..
We have lots of explosives we use on cars, trucks, boats, washers, dryers, pumpkins & more.
We also have cannons , anti-aircraft guns and TONS of automatic weapons.

If it's at all possible I'd like a loaner gun for the day to try out field target for the August match.  Anything will do.  I've been meaning to get down to Westfield but havent had the time.  I live in Northampton and belong to Southampton Fish and Game and Northampton Revolver.

A field target gun will proably be my next purchase.

I do plan to go the the machine gun shoot. I've become sort of a scholar of the folly of war, it would be good to see the actual impliments. I'd like to see a Browning .50 There's a guy at Northampton that shows up with lots of old military rifles, Mausers, Springfields and the like.  Interesting stuff

Westfield looks like a great club. They do have a lot going on!! I also want to do the pratical shooting too.

If  there is a way to hook me up with a rifle let me know.

Ok,
I'll start asking around...
They have a nice range at the notch by Atkins.
Have you check that range out yet?

I have 't been over to that one yet. It's all I can do to try and make time for events at teh two clubs I do belong to.  I know a member over there and he's invited me.  I hear it's great. Maybe when I finish grad school!! It's only months away now.

I really mean to get to Westfield. It may sound crazy but living in Northampton I really don't cross the bridge too much to hadley.  Most everything I do is too the west of the river. Even my basic geography of places like granby are weak. Ask me about New Marlborough or Hawley and I can draw you a map.  I've lived here most all my life too.

Strange.

Is there anyone at the shoot who might have an RWS 54?

I'm planning on buying one, but would like to shoot it once before I buy.

MA state championsips for those that didn't go

The weather was perfect.  The range was in a new location and was a pleasant change from the usuall lanes that we use.   For all that said that they wanted to go and didn't, you missed a fantastic match.   There was even a guy there with a RWS 54 for Ed to try, but no Ed to be found.   It was just some of the regulars that participated and had a great time shooting along with the following barbeque.   The next match will be in a couple weeks, so maybe some of the new guys will show for that one.

There was no answer to my query.

When and where was the meet? When and where is the next one?

I would have attended if I had known

Is there a local contact person?

All the info for the airgun shoots are on this site   http://members.cox.net/wsc.field_target/index.html    The matches are held at the Westfield Sportsman club in Westfield.   Check the website for the date of the next shoot.   It should be in a couple weeks.
