Looking for a R9 Goldfinger .177 review ......
« on: September 15, 2007, 07:02:36 AM »
I found a couple for the .22 cal ; but I can't find one for the .177. I read that there was one , just can't find it.  If you have one in .177 tell me about it ; particularly if you have chrony numbers. I'm thinking I need one for a lighter weight, carry around all day , hunting gun.  kirby

Kirby,,,

I could swear I did a review of the .177 Goldfinger but like you I also can't find it.  Anyway,,, right after dinner (being served now) I'll pull out my records folder for my .177 and give you the chrony info I have on file for my gun.  OK??

By the way,,, out of all my guns I've said many times that my 2 Goldfingers are my 2 favorite rifles,,, that's how much I love em.   Great to carry all day, deadly accurate, smooth cocking and firing, just a pleasure to hold, carry and shoot.

The only pellets that didn't group well were the Crosman pointed and the RWS SHP's.  All the other pellets gave great groups.

Thanks Jeff; A little more powerful than I expected it to be. for some reason I was thinking mid 800's. That's great . I went ahead and pushed the button on one. I had over $40 worth of points on my BassProShop's credit card built up so I got one shipped for $373.00, couldn't pass it up , I'd been looking at one for almost a year and figures I'd use it more than a IZH46m pistol that was out of stock . kirby

You're certainly welcome.   You're gonna love that gun, I just can't say enough about it.  The weight and size make it extremely comfortable for me to carry around for hours as I search for pests or game, and it's unbelievably easy to shoot and accurate as can be.  I'll be looking forward to your review of the rifle when you get it.  Congrats on the new shooter   :)
