Little Bunny FooFoo....
« on: September 20, 2007, 12:50:28 PM »

Late one night (7:15pm) in a land far away (southern Wisconsin), Maimer saw a cute little bunny where it did not belong (neighbors yard). While Maimer was keeping a close eye on Miss Bunny, out of the corner of his eye he saw something eles move.  To Maimers surprise it was another little bunny (FooFoo, more than likely Miss Bunnies offspring).  FooFoowas wondering around the yard eating grass and clover, minding his own buisness, completely unaware of the possible dangers lurking nearby (that would be Maimer with a Predater round).

Now at this point Maimer has a big decision to make, which one should he shoot first? Thinking that Miss Bunny will contribute to the repopulation of the speices someday, therefore he will shoot FooFoo (smaller target much more fun to shoot at). Maimer raises his Gamo and peirs though the scope in search of FooFoo.  The only thing that Maimer can find is FooFoo's ears, the rest of FooFoo is blocked by a tree branch and leaves.  The first thought that came to Maimer's mind was: " why did I plant that darn tree there". His very next thought was: "darn bunny move your a$$ so I can see you better".

Knowing full well that FooFoo is just a stupid bunny and is not able to read minds, Maimer decided to try and find a better viewing position in order to shoot FooFoo (it is pretty dark out, neighbors can not see Maimer, the middle of the yard will do just fine).  Maimer takes up a new shooting position next to the swing set, partially obscured by the tree he wishes he could move (not going to happen).

Maimer now looks through scope in FooFoo's last known position, FooFoo is no longer there (maybe FooFoo can read minds). Maimer lowers gun just enough to do a quick scan of the area to find FooFoo (this is not a simple task with only a glimmer of dusk left). FooFoo only moved a few feet to the left and putting himself in a more accessable position for Maimer. Maimer takescareful aim at FooFoo seeing only a narrow bunny silhouette (unsure if front or back view). Maimer aims for what should be the nose area of the head and gentelly pulls the trigger.

A woshing sound exists the barrel, indicating to Maimer the Predater round is in route to its target. This was followed by a loud crack sound indicating to Maimer that the round found its target. FooFoo promtly did a two foot high jump which included a back flip, another indication of a good solid hit. After a few moments of not seeing any movement, Maimer sets down his Gamo and grabs his dead critter retreival glove and makes his way to the kill. Maimer arrives at the kill sight to find nothing (were the @%#* did FooFoo go). Maimer widens his search grid to locate FooFoo, he could not have gone to far. Ten feet away from the kill zone Maimer notices a patch of white under a bush behind some dying flowers. Maimer picks up FooFoo and carries him back to home territory for a closer inspection.

After close inspection of FooFoo, Maimers shot entered the back side at the base of the skull (ouch, how did FooFoo even make it 10 feet). Entry hole is very visible, with mass amounts of blood on FooFoo's back side (must have hit an artery).

Miss Bunny obviously forgot to tell FooFoo about family members that have gone missing in Maimers yard and surrounding territory.
