DIY Rifle upgrades
« on: July 26, 2006, 07:22:21 AM »
Hi Guys, nice to meet you all. First at all sorry my english I´l try to do my best.

I have a Winchester 600x, the brazilian one. I live in Panama city Panama, and there´s not much people interesting in DIY upgrades and theres not much places (just one) where to get parts or accesories, just Gamo things.

I´m trying to get a muzzle break and its impossible, so I was wondering if you know how to make it.  By the way, it´s possible to make some modifications to the stock of my rifle??

Thanks a lot, best regards.

Ok, I am COMPLETELY new to airgunning BUT, i know this much...
You can get a muzzle break that just slides on the barrel and is fastened with set screws.
You may have to remove the front site.
I'm sure someone else will jump in here and add to this...

Examples below.....

Gaspar:
I believe the muzzle brake/weight that Shawn (copfirearms) has pictured is from a Daisy 853. The tunnel sight has replaceable inserts, but is permanently attached to the brake. Daisy also makes a smaller diameter brake that has a dovetail that will accept either a red dot (tru-glo) open sight or a tunnel sight with inserts. Both brakes are fastened with two set screws. Rear sight height has a lot to do with which front brake/sight combination you will use
Daisy's web site is at http://www.daisy.com but they don't show everything they offer. :0
Best wishes,
Mike

Thanks Guys,

But what I was wondering is if it´s possible to make one for my own.  There´s no places to get a universal muzzle here in my country.  It´s possible to make it??  I love DIY things.

On the other hand, I just polished the sear and moving parts inside.  I got the moly lube in spray, it works great.   I use this spray to clean the bore (just outside) to prevent corrosion.  My scope is a Winchester 3-9x40, I would like to add a flash light to my rifle but I didn´t find the way yet.
