Well I bought this scope a while back when the prices were still up a bit. I plan on buying another one as soon as I get a new air rifle to go with it..:) In my opinion with my eye sight this scope is one of the best scopes for me. It is clear, crisp with great clarity. I own 4 of the Simmons ProAir Scopes which was the Master Hunter Series predecessor. The ProAir Scopes work flawlessly for me as well. The only hitch with these scopes is there is only one style of reticule which is not a plus. Some like the dots or finer cross hairs, etc. In my opinion the other reticules are great but to find a scope with the same clarity as these model Simmons scopes in my price range is almost impossible..:)
The scope weighs under 13 oz and generally are under 14". Below you will see the specs.

I have used these scopes on most all my air rifles. The Hamarili being the hardest recoil and the scope works fabulous. Now with all this said, these words of praise for the Simmons Air Gun Scopes is my opinion only and there are many other scopes out there that can fit your needs as the Simmons models have fit mine. I also own BSA, Tasco, Bushnell, Burris, Nikko, Barska, Leaper, and some others. Most all of them work great for the particular air rifle and application for me. I am always open for trying a new scope out..:) It never ends.. hehe

Nice to hear that they are holding up on higher powered springers Gene. I like that they are light in weight. I like my Leapers scopes because they haven't failed on me, but they are heavy as sin. My Banners have proven to be good scopes too, and not nearly so heavy. I have used Simmons scopes on a number of powder burners and was always satisified for the price and value.

Ya Stephanie..:) We tend to like the liter side of things.. hehe  I originally bought the Simmons ProAir for my B-26. At the time it was one of my heaviest air rifles. Since then I have bought 4 other heavy weights including the RWS 34, 36, Hamerili Titan and the Beeman. These are all over 8 lb air rifles and that is getting close to my limit... hehe .. Ed I forgot to put it in the review but they run $139.99 with free shipping from Optics planet..

Does this scope have short target knobs on it or is it just the usual adjustment thing?  Also do you think it would hold up on an RWS-54?  I also can't seem to find one of these scopes anywhere that says airgun in the title.  Is the master series prohunter the same thing or is it just a typical riflescope?

thanks Brian

If that is the RWS that has recoil slide built into it, the that scope should be ok.
