Shadow 1000 piston seal
« on: October 03, 2007, 04:06:39 PM »
Does anyone know where I could get a replacement of this part or how to repair it? Mine broke about a month ago and I was saving up for a RWS 34, but if I can fix my baby, I'd gladly go that route (its much cheaper :D) Info is much appreciated!

You might also want to get a better spring and some lubes to tune your shadow.
If some is good and more is better - then too much is just right.

Also think about CDT's GRT-III trigger. Then you will have a beautiful shooter, that will get quarter size groups at 40 yards.:)

The Crosman Quest seal also works...

1-800-724-7486, part # C1K77-002. If you ever need a spring, the Crosman spring is also a drop-in if you use the Crosman tophat (C1K77-010 and C1K77-005).

Thanks guys, I just ordered the seal, 12 bucks. Lot different that 125 or 200 :) THANK YOU! I'll ponder that trigger, make reassembly any easier? I don't even know if I'll be able to get her back together!  :o Gonna hunt that down online.

:D

The trigger doesn't affect reassembly...
« Reply #6 on: October 05, 2007, 01:15:17 PM »
You didn't pull the trigger mechanism apart - did you? All you have to do is remove the entire trigger group as a unit.

CDT's trigger does not replace the entire trigger group, just the blade. The action just has to be out of the stock in order to replace the trigger, nothing else has to be dismantled. So you could install the trigger right before popping the action back into the stock, or do it later. Either way, it's an easy install.

Lmao, yes I did  :0. Its completely apart. I didn't know that the whole assembly came out when I was trying to get the piston out until all the pieces were out. I've had the trigger out before, obviously its out now, so if I get it I'll definately know how to put that baby right on in ;). I guess I can get to work reassembling the trigger group until the seal gets here. WOO! I'm stupid! :D

Very nice forums, I must say. Seems everyone is EXTREMELY nice and helpful :). Already saved me 100 bucks :D but might be only 70 if I get this trigger assembly done, get that new trigger :)

Does anyone have pictures of their trigger assembly? I can't seem to get mine to come together right, and I already had parts out that I want to put back in (I was a mod freak a year ago). Been about two months since I completely dissasembled it as well. Best I could find online was this http://www.airgunsmith.com/1/gallery1/trigger2.gif and its not helpful at all, lol.
