I did not realize when I bought it. The barrel has female threads for a pickle or moderator..(snip)The threads are metric. I have not found one yet. lol. But I will keep looking..

Sumatra pickles turn up on the classfieds now and then. Shoot, last week there was a Sumatra complete with a factory pickle for $290!! Airguns of Arizona and some other places sell a thread adapter for Sumatras (and other guns). It's a short piece that has 1/2"unf threads on the other end. It's a good basis upon which to build your own pickle if you might want to do that sort of thing. :)

I would of love it if it came like Chuck Conners rifle...

Extend the lever loop and add a little actuator  :)
When I was a kid, I had a "Rifleman" cap gun. It's lever had this little flip-out piece that would trip the trigger every time the lever was closed. Should easy to add that too your Sumatra. Now you just have to practice twirling it.

Don't feel bad....a week after paying $375 for my Talon SS and another $227 for pump & adapter, there appears a Talon SS complete with pump for $435 shipped total!
Given enough time, there will always be a better deal. I'm just enjoying what I have.

Sumatra in .25 cal would be fun

With the raw power of this rifle, I wonder why they don't offer a .25 cal.

Would seem a natural and perfect for larger game hunting.

.177 and .25 now available @ SS
« Reply #20 on: August 04, 2006, 09:25:02 AM »
Info found at Straight Shooters.

It seems the .25 is only avilable in a carbine.

The .177 should be fun

Damnit, now I'm gonna have to buy a PCP =D

you may not like to pump it up.. lol..

The secret is ask them to give you a half charge before they send it. They always go through the guns they sell and make sure they are fit. They know if it is not good enough for them, then it won't be good enough for us... I like that..

I found my Sumatra a bit cheaper at the Pyramid but the case that comes with it, they will charge you $19.00 for it. SS always ships it with the case and is included in the price...:)

Good Luck

Gene

PS: Hope you have room to shoot that thing.... he he he

well I'm on about 1.5 acres here with about 25 acres of farm behind me...

My plan is to ask permission to hunt his fields, if he gives me the ok, then I'll seriously consider adding it to my collection (of 1).
