GRT III - Happy Camper
« on: October 09, 2007, 09:13:21 AM »
Gamo CFX and GRT III, what a combination.  My thanks and appreciation to BOB aka Charlie and to all the forum members that posted their reviews of the GRT III.  I ordered it on friday after noon going into a holiday weekend and installed it less that 2 hours ago.  I really haven't had the opportunity to put it through its paces yet because of some badly needed rain we are finally getting but I did fire off 5 outside the back door.  That was enough to know that there will be no need for any adjustments to the trigger - it is a dream just the way it is.  Installation was a snap even for a guy with 10 thumbs.  IMO there is no reason to put in hours or days of research trying to decide which way to go for a trigger mod.  I know all of you that are thinking about a mod are doing your research just the way I did but if you want to save some time - buy the GRT III.  You will be more than satisfied.  I am one happy camper!!!  Thanks again BOB.

I don't mind at all Bob, a great product and great service deserves to be spread around.  I'm proud to be an owner and user of the GRT III and will talk it up every chance I get.  Jerry

As many happy people as Bob/Charlie has made with these triggers, Gamo/Theoben should put him on retainer for keeping sales of their rifles moving along!
Both of my CFXs are wearing GRT-IIIs, and they kick butt.
Oh, I also really liked the quality of the PDF file with instructions and high quality photos so even a fumble fingered schmo like me had no problem installing them.
By comparison, a Timney or Canjar trigger for a centerfire will set you back $90 minimum.

I was going to sell both my Gamos, but finally installed the trigger I got from Charlie months ago.  Going to keep them both, and order another trigger for my wife for her CFX, when she is ready for it.

I agree. There was no way I would have purchased my Gamo 440 even at the great price that Natchez still has them for if it hadn't been for the fact that Bob's GRTIII trigger was available to make such a radical improvement. It made such a difference in my CFX and the 440 that now, any Gamo (or airgun with the same trigger group) could be a potential purchase :~D

Way to go, Bob!
