Just My Observation..:)
« on: October 12, 2007, 02:03:37 AM »

I may be a bitbios but I just wanted to mention something about one or two of the GTA standout members and alsotwo of the moderators of the Hunting Gate.

What I have notice is that Ed, aka Shadow has many talents, but the one that stands out the most is his natural ability and instinct with using any type of pellet gun. You will never see a post by Ed that says he has a problem with any of his springers as far as accuracy. Also you will never see him mention a scope problem. Not to say he does not experience it but that he naturally overcomes these things. I once mentioned that he could go hunting with his finger and bring back his fair share of game..:) Even though I was kidding, Ed can pick up any air gun and shoot dead on. In my opinion Ed is a natural at hunting and could go hunting with any weapon and easily adapt to it.The is fact that he can also adapt to the season and terrain he is hunting in.

So Ed if you read this, do not get a big head..:) It is just an honest observation of you and that is it.. hehe Jeff is the GTA's other Hunting Gate moderator and is just as keen with hunting and adaptability as Ed. Personally I am proud to have both as stand up leaders in the GTA.

Thanks Guys

Gene

I agree Gene,

Not only are the outstanding hunters, they eat what they kill ! And in my humble opinion that is what a true hunter is.

I feel that unless a critter is causing a problem, or posing a danger, it should be left alone !

But don't misunderstand me, if it causes a problem, or poses a danger, I will take them out in a heartbeat before they can do damage !

That said, I proud to be associated with Ed and Jeff, and only wish we lived closer to each other, so we could swap recipes and old huntin stories ! And I am proud to have made their acquaintance here on the GTA FORUMS.

THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO BE !

I really don't know what to say guy's but everything that I learned about shooting and adapting to a weapon I learned from Dad. He also  schooled me in survival technique's. My dad was part of the Special Forces in NAM and through the year's he would teach me alittle at a time, my own drill Sargent hehe. I myself consider Jeff a MASTER HUNTER! , his ability to take down game cleanly is fantastic and his hunt stories are second to none. I am proud to be a part of this forum and a Hunting Moderator with Jeff and I still learn something new everyday, WHAT A GREAT PLACE TO BE!. :)  Ed

Nah Gene being biased towards something or someone means you have something gain from it. Ed and Jeff are who they are and very good at what they do. I have enjoyed the hunting stories from both of them. I hang on every word being that I am unable to hunt. I love this place and log a lot of reading time. Once the weather cools off I'll be able to shoot and post more. This is by far the best airgun forum I have been on yet GTA A GREAT PLACE TO BE.

Hey Guys,

I just logged on and read the nice comments by Gene and everyone else and I just wanted to say thank you.  Like Ed said,,, we just love to hunt and the added challenge of using airguns just makes it that much more enjoyable,,,, but what makes it even better is to be able to share  this sport with everyone on GTA.  I have never been associated with a finer group of people and I feel honored to be able to call you my friends !!  Thank you again for the kind words....

Jeff

Gene I totally agree with you on this. First I am proud to be a small part of this forum, since I have got back into air guns I have been reading several. I’ve found that when someone asks a question that is too basic either nobody responds or they are sometimes make to feel like a fool. That may not happen in every case but enough.  That is not the case at GTA. While I was researching new seals for an old gun I came across CDT site, which led me here. The members here are all truly top shelf.

Ed and Jeff are true hunters. They have a wealth of knowledge and share it freely. I for one enjoy reading their posts. I have learned much from them; their passion for air guns is evident.  I have hunted many years with bow and powder burners but I am a novice when it comes to airguns.

I would like to say to all GTA members THANK YOU for making this place such a class operation.

I couldn't agree more, they seem to have a nack for becoming one with nature. :) However if it were not for, Gene and Bob, the GTA would have never been started and if not for ALL of it's fine members the GTA would not be the GREAT place that it is today. :)  I for one am very proud to be a member of the GTA, my home away from home. I would like to thank ALL of the members for making this the place that it is today, a place where you can  post a ? without the worries of being flamed and bashed, for not following the nazi type regime of some of the other forums. You just gotta love this place. :D
