Error 403
« on: October 12, 2007, 02:20:48 AM »

I am a member of several forums as I assume most of you are as well. I don't know if it is appropriate to mention the name of the forum so I won't. Anyway I tried to access the site and got an error 403 indicating I did not have sufficient privliges to access the server. So my question is could I have been kicked out without knowing or is it just some server problem? Usually one gets a message saying maintenance or some such.

Hey John,

I don't know for sure, but you must register on the Yellow to deal on the classified forum. You can look but you can't post unless you have registered. They have been having problems with a few slick fellows buying and selling airguns, and not delivering, or giving bad payments.

Hope this helps you out !

Ran into the same thing myself last night, John.  Checked the other Talon forum, consensus opinion there is that they got hacked (again).  I guess their security isn't what it could be.  The other possibility is that Don, the forum owner, just got tired of all the flack a shut it down.  Might just be me, but I think I detected a slightly gloating undercurrent on the other Talon forum, seems there's still a fair amount of bad blood there.  Later.

It is a syntax error or something similar in there code. I think they are running dot net framework and it does not take much to upset the apple cart if there has been a change in the coding down the line. They probably know about it and are working on it after they get off work. It is a real pain to debug code sometimes..:(

That's only for the new Talon forum, Jason.  The original TOG isn't on Network54.
