« on: October 23, 2007, 11:56:44 AM »
OK, I have the Talon  OK,d by wife ,handpump is also no  problem,But the pump that i had in mine was Airforce dedicated, just screw in talon tank and pump, but i also want to use pump on my HPA wevo tanks ,it has a QD male fitting, so what adapter can i get for airforce pump or do i need to get another hand pump,i want one pump for both style of tanks. And also, the airforce pump is 199$  others are 225 to 250$. Thanks again for your help.

I would recommend talking with some one at Air Hog. I'm sure there are other places, but they come to mind first. I bought my Hill Pump from them and they were great to do business with.

Joe Brancato, Joe's AirTanks (http://www.hamcontact.com/HoseAssembly), has lots of different adapters available. Might also check with Tim Macmurray at MAC-1 airguns. Hope your pump has some type of moisture removal device.

Martin or Van at Air Hog-- lots of adapters probes etc. Easy to contact. I know you probably don't want to here this but you should consider a tank if you have a place that will fill it. The AF bottle is large. I did not enjoy pumping up my Logun and it is considerably smaller tank. A good pump is about 1/3 of the cost of a tank. THe Air Hog set up is made for airguns and the gage reads the fill pressure which is what you want not the remaining tank pressure. Just my opinion I know it is a lot more money compared to a pump. I wish I had just bit the bullet right off the bat instead o having a pump first which needed a gage and a new filter. From a tank you know the air will be clean and dry.

How true, John. That's why I got a tank from Joe,right away. It was only about 50 % ( maybe less)more than a pump, definitely worth it!

The main item that kept me away from that setup was the fact that the gage reads the tank pressure not the gun fill pressure. I think it is much more important to know what the gun tank pressure is.

My hose/valve setup reads what I put into the gun. The valve on the tank reads remaining tank pressure. On my BSA, I don't think you  can read the  gun pressure remaining accurately with any setup. I've used 3 different fill assemblies and all I can read is the pressure I'm filling to once I exceed the remaining pressure in the gun. I've been told the check valve in the gun doesn't open until that happens. I did use a setup with a microbore hose that filled pretty slowly and you could tell by the amount of guage movement when the gun was starting to fill, so there was a sort of "baseline" to go from. The large dia. and length from Joe isn't a problem for me as I usually fill after 25-30 shots every time because the gun has such a small tank. It's got such a consistant shot string that it works OK for me. Depends on how much money one wants to spend. Just my $.02

OK, I just checked out Airhog and they do have a tank on their web page that i like, its called  Pigmee. Has any one used this tank on talons, how many refills. It s small, but i like the price. The bottom line all depends on my local paintball shop,a purchased a 47cu tank from him and he fills it no problem,i bought a wevo13ci and will not fill it because i added a i-reg. to the tank.
I get my N2 bulk tanks 275cu.ft. at work ,but they are only filled to 2,200 psi. I really like that Pigmee,i just hope paintball shop will fill it to 4,000,if not i,m back to the handpump. for toping off my tank.
