I have always had the best luck with domed round nose FT type pellets. BSA Wolverines (BSA labled JSB Exacts) are my personal favorite, Gamo Hunters run a close second. Beeman FTs, JSB Exacts, HN FTs, RWS Super Domes, Crossman Premiers (the boxed round nose) would be other good examples in this class.
The current stable, (arsenal, quiver?): BSA Lightning XL .177, BSA Sportsman HV .22, BSA Ultra .177, CZ634 .177, Daystate Harrier X .177, TAU 200 Senior .177, HW 97 .177, HW 50s .177, HW 30 .177, RWS 92 .177, Gamo 126 MC Super, Gamo Big Cat .177, AR2078A, QB78 .177, Quest 1000 .177, Beeman SS650 .177., Beeman P17 .177.

In addition to the pellets that Stephanie spoke of...my S1K loves Tomahawks. The good thing about them is that they are cheap and reasonably accurate for me. Hence the stacks of unopened Tomahawk tins in my ammo cache....

And my S1K loves RWS Superdomes. I own several of them but one inperticular shoots the best groups with the superdomes. You never know what an air rifle or gun will like to digest. And that may even change over time as well. Do yourself a favor and buy a sampler kit from Straightshooters. Go through them one by one with paper and see which one you S1K likes best. I ended up buying allot of pellets that none of my air rifles like... lol Wish I had known about the sampler kit back then.. Gene

I do know NOT to use the RWS Super Hollow Points in a .177 Shadow 1000. My groups were all OVER the place! I have had my best luck, quite frankly, with Crosman Premier Hollow points. Cheap and readily available at Wally World.

I have had good success with Crosman Premier 7.9gr in the box, and the JSB Exact 8.44gr in 4.52mm or 4.53mm( best) in whatever name they're packaged under, as Stephanie said. Have not tried Tomahawks, or RWS Superdomes as the gun shoots pretty darn good with the above. It also shoots very well with Predator hunting pellets( Expensive) so the Crosman Premier Hollowpoints, from Walmart, might have worked , too. Got lots of the aforementioned 2 and see no need to experiment further. Guess I just got lucky. How many shots do you have on the gun? Mine got a lot better after 1500 shots.

Gotta remember to not hold these S1K's too tightly, too.

One hole groups at 20 is pretty darn good shooting, Cody! So, you've only shot "heavy" pellets? I would recommend some in the 7.9-8.5 grain range.(Both Airguns of Arizona and Straightshooters supply have pellet samplers available, like 50 ea of 25 different pellets). This will probably give you 60-100 fps more velocity and result in a flatter trajectory, making grouping easier at yardages above 20. What springs have you been using. I've currently got an old style James Maccari Tarantula spring( no longer available, I'm told) in mine, and it shoots 7.9 at 855fps and 8.44 at 835fps. Just a few thoughts.
