Squirrels & Outlaws.
I went squirrel hunting today.
Was out in the woods for about half hour after sun rise.
I was scanning the tree tops for squirrels, there’s one about 75 yards from me.
I make my way over to him, get him in my scope, then lightly pull the trigger!
Down he comes, first one, he was 35 yards from me.
I pick him up, & make my way though the woods.
Ten minutes later, I hear one barking at me. He is a ways off, I stalk to the sound.
Stopping against a tree, I see a squirrel on the ground standing up looking around.
Then a squirrel close to me out of no where comes around the side of a tree, about 20 yards, so I let him taste some lead!
Down he comes.
Pick him up, still stalking to the sound of the squirrel, still barking at me!
He is moving in the tree, then he stops, he is about fifty yards away.
I aim for a head shot, rest the gun on the tree, pull the trigger.
He falls dead at fifty yards! So now I am up to three squirrels.
So I make my way though the woods again, I see one far off in the top of a tree.
I am standing there, when I see two squirrels running on the ground.
And there coming my way!!
I do not move a hair, they run around & around a tree by me, 20 yards.
Then one stops, I nail him! I don’t move.
Then the other one runs up the tree, I shoot at him & miss.
Reload, shoot again miss.
Reload , now he has jumped to a different tree, I shoot again this time my aim is true!
I now have five squirrels in my bag!! What a fun day air gun hunting!!
