My next door neighbor gave me the green light to cull tree rats eating the flowers  in her yard so I did ...
Both were 15 yards or so and taken with a Gamo CF-X and Crosman Ultra mags..The lil one fell first with a clean shot to the ear and fell with a thump into the leaves..The larger who may be momma came running right to the branch I had just nailed the lil one on and started chattering...The ole girl gave me nothing but a view of of her rump while leaning over the branch looking at the fallen baby..thought for a second about taking a Texas heart shot but said nope "ima head shot only kinda guy"...So I waited...waited...waited... all the while my friend saying shoot....Nope...want her to look at me I said.Well she finally did and a second later she was laying next to the other..

The Ultra mag passed through the lil ones head clean..The momma caught it right between the left eye / ear with the pellet travling the skull,neck,exiting behind the right leg and coming to rest in the skin..

The ole girl also had a Gamo Rocket under her skin but I could find no scars..

Good shooting there.
My .177 CFX also really does well with Crosman Ultra Magnums, getting inside 5 shots inside 1/2" @ 25 yards.
They also penetrate like nobody's business.

Thanks all..Ive become selective about my shots and wont shoot if im not comfortable..Nailed another nutter awhile back from a standing position no rest and I pulled the shot to the right..He went down but was dragging himself across the yard...Had to run up, reload and dispatch him..Man I was *_*_*_*_*_*ed at myself for shooting from a position I know im weak at and causing a less that instant kill...

With the yard next door now open I should be able to stock up alot more..I had only one place in my yard I would allow shots to be taken so it was slow going...Now ive got alot more shooting lanes as all the nesting trees are around her yard..Just dont wann drop any in her pool.lol..
