I see a great deal on the Yellow Classifieds.
http://www.network54.com/Forum/79574/message/1154488517/FOR+SALE-++Talon+SS+.177+w-+Pump.177 AirForce Talon SS in the original box, with AF pump, all for only $435 including shipping!! Looking at the safety lever, I'd say it is a newer model with the power adjustment wheel. The older models safety lever was a little further back when off.
I had not just bought a .22 Talon SS, I'd be emailing the guy already.
Sure, you can get a Chinese B50/51 with a Chinese pump for just a little more. But a Talon is simplicity in itself...easy to work on, few parts to go wrong, only 2 o-ring seals (other than the bottle valve seal)....and accurate! The SS model has a shroud. And the included AF pump is the same as the Logun or FX pump, with an AirForce sticker on it and a tank filler adapter.
They may be ugly (I prefer "functionally beautiful"), but man they shoot well! The 490cc air tank gives a lot of shots per fill too. S great way to get into PCP for low cost and low stress. Turned down to 2 or 3 on the power adjustment wheel, I shoot my Talon SS in my basement daily with 14.3 grain pellets. Crank it up to 9 or so and it'll easily whack a woodchuck with Kodiaks at a good distance. Not to mention the 2 calibers and 3 barrel lengths for each all interchange in minutes.
