Just be the night
« on: November 19, 2007, 12:52:51 PM »
Out of work, home to change and out the door to hunt the grove. Tac 1 in hand and slid a Gamo Master Point in just for fun and made it to the grove at sunset. I decided to change local's, keep em gessing and headed to the far end where I set up another brush blind the day before. The sun had settled for the day and I let my eye's adjust to night vision and just sat in the darkness for about a half a hour and soaked into the night. Well let's see what's moving, pulled the TAC 1 up and hit the lamp and to no surprize a set of eye's looking back from about 30yrd's. What I wanted was a side profile and he gave it to me as he hopped to the side . I placed the crosshair's on the eye, lit the red dot and let the Airgun God's do the rest. IMPACT! .....he just rolled to his side and gave a couple kick's. Safety on, counted out some yard's which came to almost 27yrd's. Alittle off, the Master Point got him right behind the eye but close enough for me hehe. Ed

Nice one Ed!

Man I'd love to do some night hunting but around here it's not possible.

Good shooting.

Well Buddy, it seems you and the Tac 1 have become very well aquainted with each other..:) Your hunting account was excellent as always and your rig looks like it is perfect for the night hunting... I was wondering though..:) Does the G1- Extreme share the same power plant? Anyway that is some awesome shooting at 30 yards buddy and is no surprise to me that you hit so close to your mark..:) Deadly hit for sure... Thanks once again for your account of the hunt and sharing with us..

Thank's Buddy and she has been a great shooter out of the box. She like's the Predator's the best but the Master Point's and Crosman HP's put a smile on my face also. I will be getting a trigger from Bob though, I adjusted this one and it's ok and I got the second stage where I want it...but it ain't no DA TUNA TRIGGER!. Ed

Yeah, Bobs trigger made a heck of a difference on my G1 Extreme.......

The wife asked me what I want for Christmas,,,,,, I'm thinkin a TAC 1 might look good under that tree  :)
