Thanksgiving with Shadow

After spending the morning prepping her for the hunt I loaded up my gear and headed for dad's for a Thanksgiving meal. After a great meal of turkey a long walk/ hunt was in order to work off the meal so I grabbed the TAC1 and headed for the woods. 5:30pm I stood at the treeline and checked my gear and wind direction, wind at me to hide my scent and Predator loaded. I located a game trail and went into a silent stalk and sure enough I spotted movement  down the trail at about 30yrds. I froze and let my camo do it's job but he knew something was out there but where ?. Knowing the moment would pass quickly I pulled the TAC1 up and placed the crosshairs on the kill zone, safety off and Predater away. The impact was one of the loudest that I've heard and I watched him flip flop and fly for about thirty seconds and then roll to his side. I worked my way down the the game trail, counting yard's as I went and to my surprize 37yrd's to this guy:). The Predator had done it's job well when it entered below the ear and exited out the other side of his skull, heavy blood trail so to speak. I snatched him up, found a downed tree and just sat there and watched the sun settle behind the foothills. Life is good here in South Dakota today, I great Thanksgiving with the family followed up with another successful hunt.Oh and Jeff you said one more hunt would be all it took to push "THE ORDER BUTTON"!...... here you go buddy hehe. Another excellent hunt and pics buddy, but then I wouldn't expect anything less   :)

Yup, I did say one more pic of that TAC 1 would push me over the edge and I meant it,,,, so,,,,,,,, I think I may have to go find an order button to push  :)

Thank's Brent and I did my time in the big city, couldn't find a game trail there hehe. I was born and raised here and it was time to come home to family and the land which I missed dearly. My BBQ is in use year around, clear the snow and fire it up lol. Ed

Four buddy, had two the other night. One for me and one for the little woman but I should be able to stock it up for you with a few more hunt's, grill will be hot hehe. Ed
