Easy camo job

Well, it turns out that it's a lot easier to camo the plastic stock on a Daisy Powerline 1000S than I would have ever thought.

Just prior to the Thanksgiving holidays, I stored away my airguns while relatives (with small kids) were here, including my 1000S, which I put in one of those inexpensive hard plastic double-gun cases with egg-crate type foam padding. I pulled it out of the case today, and found that it had camo'ed itself. Now I know this ain't in the same league as any of Ed's ShadowDesigns, but take a look at it, and tell me if you don't think it's got a kind of quiet elegance all its own-- LOL!!! I'm afraid if I took it outside looking like that to shoot at a crow, he'd just fall over dead from laughing ;~D

Luckily, it cleaned up with a good scrubbing using some Goo-Gone and a rubdown with a touch of 3-in-1 oil on a rag. Even more luckily, the egg-crate foam didn't seem to affect in the least the finish on my B26-2 which was sharing the same case. I guess I'll have to be a little careful from now on what I put in that case.

Bryan, I would have left it as is, but I've always been alittle off, hehe. Glad it cleaned up easy enough and I guess we need to be careful about storing syn stocks in a case.

Hehe interesting for sure, chess anyone.:) Look's like it absorbed some of the pigment from the foam but you got it cleaned up ok. Now if you added some more of different sizes and color's you could get a digital camo pattern started. Ed

Yeah Ed, this kind of camo would only work if I were hunting in a woods full of chessboards- LOL!

I guess I could avoid a future repeat of the situation by putting it in a gunsock before storing it in the case. But it did give me a laugh when I first opened it up and saw what happened.
