It has been windy/rainy here in Hawaii for a while, so I've not had much time to shoot. Yesterday the wind calmed down a bit so I sat down and did some shooting. I was getting one hole groups from 12 yards right off the bat. I measured my smallest group with a measuring tape and got a end to end 6/16 - the .177 pellet is .198"! Considering, this is from a rest; no way could I shoot ANYTHING close to that offhand. My other groups averaged 10/16's". These were all with JSB's, I have yet to try other pellets. Something I noticed was JSB's don't fit as tightly as they did with my old s1k. I'm probably going to pick up a straight shooters pellet sampler soon.
The trigger is so much smoother than my old s1k. Second stage is very prominent, and isn't jumpy like my old one. It slowly smoothly travels 'till the sear releases. Maybe once I get some more money I'll order a grt-III. My scope mount seems to be holding up pretty well without a stop, but I don't know how long it will hold with out any creep.
My walther cp99 compact bb pistol came in, but I can't look at it till Christmas! Ahh can't wait. I also sent out a M.O. for a crossman 1077 which will hold me over till christmas but I really want to shoot that pistol!.
update: The wind calmed down a bit, and I tried a few more pellets. I started with RWS superdomes, which perform OK, not great or anything. Then, gamo hunters. In my old shadow, they were horrible so I wasn't expecting much, but my first group was less than .5" end to end. I shot a few more and they were all about .5" end to end or less. I think I've found the pellet I'll be using for now.
